CMG CLEANTECH S.A. WELCOMES FOUR NEW DIRECTORS (ADMINISTRATEURS), DOUBLING DOWN ON ITS CLEAN ENERGY EXPERTISE AT BOARD LEVEL

Paris, 20 December 2022 – CMG Cleantech S.A. (“CMG”), the renewable energy company listed on the Euronext Paris Exchange, has announced four key strategic appointments to its Board as part of its second phase of development. The Company announces the appointments of veteran green technology executives John Darling, Tony Booth, Shaun Green and Craig Miller to its Board of Directors. Darren Taylor steps down from his existing Chair (Président du Conseil d’Administration) position to focus on his CEO (Directeur Général) role, as John Darling is appointed as the CMG’s new Chair (Président du Conseil d’Administration).

John Darling comes with 25 years’ experience in construction and the ESG global economy, working as a Director in the life science sector with Mace and ISG. Specialising in delivering technical green project plans and managing the delivery of high-profile, multi-million-pound projects across EMEA, John’s particular focus has been on the installation of systems to produce zero-emissions energy for the running of commercial buildings and laboratories. He has also been instrumental in the design and installation of solar, power storage and hydrogen-driven generation.

Former Williams Advanced Engineering director, Tony Booth joins CMG with 20 years’ experience in new, sector-changing technologies. Tony has worked extensively in global roles, leading technology transfer to electrification with FTSE 250 Johnson Matthey PLC and UK heritage brand Williams Grand Prix.

Shaun Green joins the team with over 45 years’ experience working in the built environment space. This includes a 23-year Director-level stint at Mace; roles at both private and public sector organisations; and successes in Green Energy delivery at local-government level throughout the UK.
Discussing the importance of this role, Shaun Green said: “We are engaged globally in a race against time to reduce our carbon emissions. I believe with the introduction and implementation of our technologies at CMG we can make a huge contribution to achieving this on the journey to net zero.”
Craig Miller, Director (Administrateur)
Craig Miller, formerly a CMG Board advisor, brings 25 years of experience in professional services, including mergers & acquisitions at JPMorgan, Global VP Business Development at The Adecco Group, and most recently more than 12 years at Microsoft Consulting. In his Microsoft position, Craig has worked with the largest enterprises across Europe, including many global energy companies, to design and execute their business transformations. Craig will bring his expertise to support the CMG Board and executive team in strategy and acquisitions, positioning the company to become a world-class renewable energy player.
Craig Miller said, “With the new Board of Directors now in place, CMG is very well positioned to accelerate bringing to market and deploying new environmental technologies that will make a difference to our planet. (“CMG”) has secured a long-term contract to build a 15 megawatt solar and battery farm for the privately held company Bozdag Komur Isletme Madencilik Enerji Insaat A.S. (“Bozdag”) in Turkey. Bozdag is the mining subsidiary of Yapi Tek Inşaat A.Ş. Construction, part of the Yapi Tek Group. The 20-year Power Purchase Agreement between Tech Infinite Ltd and Bozdag spans the design, engineering, installation and construction of the solar and battery farm. The project will power the Turkish company’s mining operations and also significantly lower its carbon footprint. (" CMG "), société spécialisée dans les énergies et technologies propres, a fait le point aujourd'hui sur quatre projets annoncés au cours des neuf derniers mois. Dans le cadre du premier projet, Tech Infinite Ltd, filiale de CMG, a entamé des négociations à la fin de l'année dernière avec Daza Properties S.L. de Málaga en Espagne. Daza Properties est une société de construction résidentielle et commerciale de premier plan qui détient des intérêts dans un vaste projet de développement de luxe à Ceuta, une enclave espagnole sur la côte du Maroc. Une fois finalisé, l'accord devrait permettre à Tech Infinite Ltd d'installer des systèmes de panneaux solaires à grande échelle pour les structures résidentielles unifamiliales et multifamiliales du projet. Le deuxième projet est un contrat signé en janvier 2023 entre Tech Infinite Ltd et la société de développement immobilier, Orlando World Live LLC en Floride pour l'installation, la fabrication et la conception de systèmes d'énergie renouvelable développés par la filiale CMG. Ce projet de plusieurs milliards de dollars a été retardé le temps que la société de développement sécurise l'ensemble de l'achat du terrain du site par Orlando World Live. Une fois achevé, ce projet vise à créer un complexe de divertissement et de loisirs ainsi qu'un nouveau secteur commercial dans le centre d'Orlando. Dans le cadre du troisième projet, également annoncé en janvier 2023, CMG a accepté de s'associer à une société énergétique nord-africaine pour construire une usine de cellules solaires, ce qui ferait de CMG le seul fabricant de cellules solaires dans la région. Depuis lors, les négociations en vue d'un contrat de coentreprise se sont poursuivies et les conditions ont été élargies pour inclure la construction par CMG d'un four à arc électrique afin de maximiser les ressources minérales locales et de développer une usine de production de plaquettes de silicium, la première de la région. L'usine produira des plaquettes de silicium pour cet énorme investissement dans la production de panneaux photovoltaïques en Afrique du Nord. Enfin, en mars de cette année, CMG a remporté un appel d'offres pour un projet aux États-Unis, ce qui a permis à son partenaire en coentreprise, Panacea Global Energy, d'étendre ses activités en Amérique du Nord avec l'ouverture de sa première installation phare aux États-Unis, Green Garden Village, dans le comté d'Osceola. Green Garden Village est un projet en plusieurs phases. Les plans, qui comprennent la construction du siège de la société aux États-Unis, d'un centre de recherche et de développement et d'installations de fabrication, ont été modifiés après consultation de la communauté locale, ce qui a entraîné un certain retard par rapport au calendrier des travaux prévu. PARIS, 26th July 2023 – CMG CleanTech S.A (“CMG”), a clean energy and technology corporation, provided an update today on four projects announced over the last nine months. In the first project, CMG’s subsidiary Tech Infinite Ltd entered into initial negotiations late last year with Daza Properties S.L. of Málaga Spain. Daza Properties is a leading residential and commercial construction company with an interest in an extensive luxury development in Ceuta, a Spanish enclave on the coast of Morocco. When finalised, the agreement is set to see Tech Infinite Ltd installing large-scale solar panel systems for single and multi-family residential structures in the development. Project number two is a contract signed in January 2023 between Tech Infinite Ltd and property development company Orlando World Live LLC in Florida for the installation, manufacture and design of renewable energy systems developed by the CMG subsidiary. The multibillion-dollar project has been delayed while the development company secures the whole of the site’s land purchase by Orlando World Live. Once complete, this project is aimed at delivering an entertainment and leisure complex and new commercial sector to downtown Orlando. In the third project, also announced in January 2023, CMG agreed to partner with a North African energy company, to build a solar cell factory, which would make CMG the only manufacturer of solar cells in the region. Since that time, further negotiations for a Joint Venture contract have been pursued as terms have expanded to include the construction by CMG of an electric arc furnace to maximise local mineral resources to develop a silicon wafer production plant, the first in the region. The plant will produce silicon wafers for this huge investment into North Africa for PV panel production. Finally, in March this year, CMG won a US-based project bid allowing its Joint Venture partner Panacea Global Energy to expand operations in North America with the opening of its first U.S. flagship facility, Green Garden Village in Osceola County. The Green Garden Village is a multiphase project. Plans, which include the construction of the company’s U.S. headquarters, a research and development facility and manufacturing facilities, have been amended after consultation with the local community which has caused some delay to the planned schedule of work.
